Difficulties in Wall Thickness Control for Straight Seam Steel Pipe Process

Straight seam steel pipe wall thickness control is a difficult production. At present, the straight seam steel pipe manufacturers to improve the wall thickness in the production of precision uses the methods generally including:

1, Tube heating
Heating to the average to prevent rapid up and down temperature. Each take-off and landing temperature is to maintain a smooth slow, the maximum rise and fall temperature does not exceed 30 ℃.
2, Rolling mill mandrel
Average wall thickness of thick wall tube and solid billet make the probability of mandrel bending deformation significantly reduced, can effectively improve the wall thickness of the precision.
3, The accuracy of mandrel
The outer core of the machining accuracy control in ± 0.1mm, mandrel straightness bias does not exceed 5mm. Welding, the two core rods between the piercing a finishing pin positioning, welding in order to avoid the formation of the total straightness bias is too large.
4, The perfect process
Determing whether the centering roll device in place, adjust the relevant core roller in the middle, open the angle and the size of the initiative of the same opening, the middle of the rolling core in the rolling line.
5, Centering roller

7, Rolling the middle line

8, Rolling things

How to Weld for the ERW Steel Pipe in Winter

To ensure that the erw steel pipe in the winter welding perfect follow the following steps:

Carbon Steel Alloy-ASTM A53


ASTM A53 is a carbon steel alloy,used as structural steel or for low-pressure plumbing.The alloy specifications are set by ASTM international,in specifications ASTM A53/A53M.
A53 pipe comes in three types and two grades,A53 Type F,which is longitudinally furnace butt welded or continuous welded(Grade A only),A53 Type E,which is longitudinally electric resistance welded(Grades A and B),and A53 Type S,which is seamless pipe,produced by hot working,and possibly cold finishing,the steel(Grade A and B).ASTM A53 pipe is sized according to the nominal pipe size(NPS)system.It is commonly available with national pipe thread ends or with plain cut ends.It can be used for steam,water,and air conveyance.It is also weldable and can be used in structural application,although ASTM A500 tube,which is available in the same NPS
Sizes,is sometime preferred.
This is a standard set by the standards organization ASTM international,a voluntary standards development organizations that sets technical standards for materials,products,systems,and service.

Chinese Large Diameter Steel Pipe has Damaged the Canadian Domestic Industry

On Octber 20, 2016, the Canadian International Trade Court (CITT) has made the final decision on Chinese large diameter carbon steel pipe and alloy steel pipe. They announced that the Chinese large diameter steel pipe has damaged the Canadian domestic industry. According to the provisions of the Canadain side from October 20 on the above mentioned products, anti-dupmingduties and countervailing duties.

Two US oil companies will operate more than 3100 miles of oil line pipe


The US oil line pipe company American Midstream Partners LP said hat the company will acquire peer JPEnergy Partners LP. The transaction will be the whole stock exchange in the form of completion, and will create a valuation of $ 2 billion focus on oil and gas line pipe transportation and other areas of limited partnership. The deal valued JPEnergy's common stock at $ 8.63 per share, a premium of 14.5% to its closing price on Friday. The combined corporate headquarters will be located in Houston, the business will be mainly concentrated in the oil-rich region of North America.

Private equity firm ArcLight Capital Partners holds a stake in the companies in the above transactions. According to Thomson Reuters Group, lArcight holds a 15.6% stake in AmericanMidstream, which holds a 19.8% stake in JPEnergy. Lynn Bourdon, chief executive of AmericanMidstream, will lead the combined company. The combined company will own and operate more than 3,100 miles of oil line pipes.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the transaction as AmericanMidstream financial adviser, LockeLordLLP as its legal adviser. BMOCapitalMarkets acted as financial advisor to JPEnergy and Latham & Watkins acted as legal counsel.
